Download

Prebuilt Image: Currently we do not distribute public binary images for this development kit. Follow the instructions below to build a reference image from source.

Building the Image

Follow the Quick Start Guide to set up the build environment.

To build:

cd lightspeed
kas build kas-cfgs/qemuarm64.yaml

Running in QEMU

Boot the image using QEMU:

qemu-system-aarch64 -machine virt -cpu cortex-a57 -nographic \
  -m 1024 -kernel Image \
  -append "console=ttyAMA0 root=/dev/vda rw" \
  -drive file=rootfs.ext4,if=none,id=hd0,format=raw \
  -device virtio-blk-device,drive=hd0 \
  -netdev user,id=net0,hostfwd=tcp::2222-:22 \
  -device virtio-net-device,netdev=net0

Login via serial console or SSH on port 2222 after boot.

Login using the credentials in the Quick Start Guide.
